World International Yoga Day - 2022

Antyoday Mission Devgram, Physical Department, Jeevan Vikas Mahvidyalaya and Police station Jalalkheda, "Cyclothon 1.0" (Cycle Rally) was jointly organised on the occasion of World International Yoga Day on 21st June 2022. In this rally near about 200 cycle riders participated including all the staff members, students and villagers. Dr. Devendra Bhongade, Principal, JVMD had given message to the assembly about awareness for saving environment and to keep us healthy. He focused on exercise as most important to lead a healthy life. Mr. Mahendrabhau Wasade, social worker, Devgram inaugurated the "Cyclothon 1.0" and Upsarpanch, Shri Devendraji Patil Lohe was also present and wished the rally. The Rally started from Indoor Stadium, Jeevan Vikas Mahavidyalaya to Police Station Jalalkheda and Police Station Jalalkheda to Indoor Stadium, Jeevan Vikas Mahavidyalaya (Distance 14 km). At Jalalkheda, PSI, Manoj Choudhari welcomed the rally at the police station and he addressed the rally by telling the importance of Cycle rally for conserving nature as well as created awareness about the traffic rules. In the second session, a Workshop on Yoga and Pranayam was conducted by Yoga Trainer, Mr. Madan Dhole.

Chintan Shibir - 2022

Antyoday Mission, Devgram has two units, one is at Devgram and the other at Dahenda. The founder of the institution is honorable Dr. Bhausaheb Bhoge, he always thinking to take this institution forward and is always trying to provide the best education to the students. In this point of view, this year this organization organized Chintan Shibir on 24 June 2022. The purpose of this Chintan Shibir was to review the planned work done during the academic year and brainstorm to take forward the departments which are lagging behind. To fulfil the dream of Dr. Bhausaheb Bhoge everyone takes a responsibility that our educational institution becomes great. Dr. Devendra Bhongade, Principal, JVMD expressed his thought about our institution and given some suggestion in his introductory speech. The work of each department was analysed and discussed. All the teachers and Non-teaching staff were present in this Chintan Shibir and finally the President of the organization Dr. Bhaskar Vighe Sir also gave his motivational speech.

Faculty Development Program (12-13-14 July 2022)

A workshop was organized on the topic of Effective Pedagogies in Teaching and Learning from 12 July 2022 to 14 July 2022 on behalf of the Department of IQAC, Jeevan Vikas Mahavidyalaya, Devgram. The workshop was inaugurated by the principal of the college Dr. Devendra Bhongade. During this workshop, on 12th July 2022, Dr. Praveen Gharpure, Head of Marathi Department, gave a lecture on Effective Letter Drafting for Students and Administrations. On July 13, 2022, Professor Shital Raut delivered a lecture on ICT Enabled Tools and Innovative Techniques for Teaching and Learning. On July 14, Prof. Pranali Ingole presented the subject through a presentation on Bloom's Taxonomy in Teaching and Learning. On the concluding occasion of the workshop, Dr. Devendra Bhongade, Dr. Raju Srirame, Dr. Mangesh Acharya, Dr. Yogesh Sarode, Dr. Deepak Rajpure, Dr. Praveen Gharpure and Dr. Professor Kalyani Thakre were present.

Har Ghar Tiranga (10-15 August 2022)

Antyoday Mission Devgram, Jeevan Vikas Mahavidyalaya and Police station Jalalkheda, jointly organised Har Ghar Tiranga on the occasion of Swatantracha Amrut Mahotsav on 10-15 August 2022. The bike Rally was organised by Jeevan Vikas Mahavidyalay Devgram on 13 August 2022 near the vicinity of Devgram. Mr Mahendrabhau Wasade, Social worker in Devgram, inaugurated the Bike rally and also participated. The bikes rally visited Mowad, Khairgaon, Deoli, Devgram, Madana, Jalalkheda and finally Manoj Choudhari, PSI Jalalkheda Police Station, Jalalkheda welcomed the bike rally at the police station and he addressed the rally by telling the importance of bike rally on this occasion of Har Ghar Tiranga.

A sports day was organized in the memory of Major Dhyan Chand by the Department of Physical Education and Sports at Jeevan Vikas Mahavidyalaya, Devgram. Prof. Nagesh Dhobale, Vice Principal, Jeevan Vikas Jr. College, Devgram was the chairperson of this program. The Chief Guest Dr. Pradeep Masram, RTM Nagpur University, Nagpur, Shri Devendraji Lohe, Upsarpanch, Devgram, and Dr. Raju Srirame, Vice Principal, JVM, Devgram were present. Dr. Praveen Gharpure made anchoring of this program while Dr. Mangesh Acharya proposed vote of thanks. The program was organized by the Department of Physical Education. On this occasion Dr. Deepak Arajpure commented on the current sports situation in the country while explaining the role of the program in his introduction. Deputy Sarpanch Mr. Devendraji Lohe, while giving guidance in the main speech of this program, said that the rural areas should produce Olympic winning athletes and that emphasis should be placed on basic sports facilities in rural areas. Many teachers, non-teaching staff and students attended the program.

Teacher's day was celebrated on 5th September 2022, on this occasion Shri Babararao Raut, Ex Head Master of Jeevan Vikas Vidyalaya, Devgram was the Chief Guest and Dr. Devendra Bhongade, Principal, JVMD was chairperson. At first students welcomed the guests as well as all the teachers. On this day the students who actively participated in self-government expressed their thoughts on Teacher's Day with different perspectives. The Chief Guest Shri Babararao Raut was felicitated and he addressed the program. The program was conducted by the students.

Inaugural Ceremony of Chemistry Department (14th September 2022)

The Inaugural ceremony of Chemistry Department was held at Matoshri Auditorium on 14th September 2022 by Dr. Nitin Kongre, Member of Management Council RTMNU. The college started P.G course in Chemistry in a rural area. The chief guest of the programme, Dr. Nitin Kongre, addressed the PG students by giving a lot of valuable information regarding the subject. Dr. Chandrakant Talwatkar of Shree Mathuradas Mohata College of Science was Guest of Honour and Dr. Devendra Bhongade, Principal, JVM Devgram was the president of the programme.

Book Review Competition (21 September 2022)

Books are preserved knowledge in written form, and along with the continuous work of transmitting our thought culture from one generation to the next, reading gives new ideas to the students. Reading is a very important skill for studying and acquiring knowledge. It is having a serious impact on the strategic physical life of the students due to continuously operating mobile in the sense of online education, and reading culture becomes vanished. In this point of view, the Dept. of Library conducted Book Review Competition-2022. In this scheme every student was expected to participate in the competition and review at least one book. Ku Vaishnvi Thakre, student of B.Sc. Part-I, gave the first review of her selected book.

Mahaparinirvan Din Celebration - 06 December- 2022

The Department of Cultural Activities organized Mahaparinirvana Din on 6th December 2022 in the Matoshri Hall. This program was started by worshipping Mahamanav Bharat Ratna Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar's image. Principal of Jeevan Vikas College Dr. Devendra Bhongade, in his presidential speech, said that many great men have been born on the holy land of India and Dr. Babasaheb's name has to be taken first. Dr. Ambedkar's journey with many qualities such as great intelligence, brilliant memory, neatness and profound reading was useful in destroying thousands of years of slavery, and the great man Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar was praised for his personality. While guiding as the main speaker from the platform, Dr. Raju Shrirame, Vice Principal, guided the life and work of Dr. Babasaheb and asserted that the youth should build the foundation of their lives by adopting the principles of learn, organize and struggle. Prof. Dhanraj Pandav compered the program and Ms. Kirtee Gotmare proposed the vote of thanks. On the occasion of Mahaparinirvana Din, Jeevan Vikas Mahavidyalaya, Devgram organised a Health Check up Camp for the students of the college.

Orientation Program: Advance Courses in Global Economics Opportunity and Ways

A student orientation program was organized by the Department of Economics, Degree and Post Graduate Department, at Jeevan Vikas College, Devgram. The program was organized in the context of the new educational policy and syllabus. Dr. Raju Srirame, Vice-Principal and HOD of Economics, gave detailed guidance on how the university curriculum has been changed according to the new educational policy. In this regard, while giving very important information about various streams of thought in economics, timeless changes in the curriculum, employment opportunities, different concepts of economics in the global view and what students should do from it, he also gave very important basic guidance on research. The main purpose behind the organization of this program was to take a review of the various changes that have taken place in accordance with the university and the new educational policy and the changes in the curriculum in the context of globalization.

One-Day Interdisciplinary Seminar: 12 January 2023

A one-day interdisciplinary seminar on the originality of Swami Vivekananda's thought and today's Indian society was organized on behalf of the IQAC Department of Jeevan Vikas Mahavidyalaya, Devgram on 12th January 2023 on the occasion of Swami Vivekananda Jayanti. In the inaugural program of this seminar, Dr. Devendra Bhongade, Principal of JVMD, was present as the Chairperson, Dr. Subhash Lohe was the Key Speaker, and Dr. Kishore Zilpe, Principal, Shivaji Mahavidyalaya, Mowad, and also Shri Manoj G Chaudhary, PSI, Police Station Jalalkheda, Dr. Raju Srirame and Dr. Deepak Arajpure, organizer of the seminar, and Dr. Mangesh Acharya were present on the dais.

On the occasion of the inaugural program, Dr. Subhash Lohe presented Swamiji's fundamental thoughts before the hall. In his speech, Dr. Devendra Bhongade appealed to the youth to adopt Swamiji's ideals. Dr. Kishore Zulpe also guided the students. Dr. Mangesh Acharya proposed the inaugural program. Coordinating the event, Prof. Rupesh Shekar proposed a vote of thanks. The conference was held in two sessions. In the first session Dr. Vijay Rahangdale presented his views on Swamiji's economic thought while Dr. Pragya Kamadi presented Swamiji's views on women. The coordination responsibility of this session was with Prof. Ankush Bobde, who thanked Professor Dhanraj Pandav.

In the second session of the seminar, Dr. Archana Umarkar expressed her opinion on Swamiji's political views while Dr. Sadhana Jichkar presented her thoughts on the topic of Swamiji's message to the youth. Prof. Ashok Kapse compered the first technical session, while Prof. Dinesh Pangul proposed the vote of thanks. There were 250 students of the college who attended this seminar.

AMOI Festival - 2023

Antyodaya Mission, Devgram, organised the AMOI Festival; the Sports Festival was inaugurated at Jeevan Vikas Vidyalaya by the social worker Shri Subhash Babu Dandare. The AMOI Sports Festival was organized for three days on 13th, 14th and 16th January 2023. The objective of the event was to develop the physical development of the students through sports and to keep them healthy, fit and well, and to develop good sportsmen. A playground was provided to the students and in this sports festival, games such as Kabaddi, Kho Kho, Volleyball, Langdi, Badminton etc. were played as outdoor sports. In this sports festival, students ranging from CBSE to Post Graduate participated in the games. Dr. Devendra Bhongade, Principal, JVMD, was the chairperson of the program. In his speech he said that the body is the real wealth, so all the students should do yoga, pranayama and play sports to keep their body healthy.

Cultural Event

AMOI Festival-2023 was inaugurated by Hon'ble Shri Nageshji Jadhav, (Sub Divisional Police Officer, Katol) and he was felicitated by Principal Dr. Devendra Bhongade, JVMD. Mr. Nageshji Jadhav, while conversing with the students, gave a very valuable message that there is nothing difficult in life; just stay positive and try hard to achieve your goals, success will come, don't give up. Various cultural programs were organized in the AMOI Festival such as debate competition, quiz competition, drama, singing, elocution competition, fashion competition, poster competition and science exhibition, food festival etc. The cultural program was inaugurated by the dance Ganesh Vandana. Honorable Dr. Devendra Bhongade, Principal, Jeevan Vikas Mahavidyalaya, Devgram, was the chairperson of the program. The introductory speech was given by Shri Ravikant Baviskar, Head Master of Primary School. Mr. Subhash Babu Dandhare, Babanrao Lohe, Deputy Sarpanch Devendra Lohe, Kendra Pramukh Lende Sir, Principal Dubey Sir, Principal Sanket Thackeray, Principal Pooja Bondre, and Hon'ble Principal of Jeevan Vikas Vidyalaya Mr. Rambhau Bondre were present on this occasion and graced the program. Prof. Ashok Kapse compered the program and Mr. Rambhau Bondre, Head Master of JVV, proposed the vote of thanks.

World International Yoga Day - 2023

Antyoday Mission Devgram and Physical Department, Jeevan Vikas Mahvidyalaya jointly organised the World International Yoga Day on 21st June 2023. Shri Devendraji Lohe, Upsarpanch, Devgram, and Dr. Raju Srirame, Vice Principal, JVM, Devgram were Chief Guests of this program. Dr. Devendra S. Bhongade, Principal, JVMD was Chairperson of this program. Dr. Mangesh Acharya made anchoring of this program. On this occasion Dr. Deepak Arajpure commented on the significance of Yoga while explaining the role of Yoga in human life in his introductory speech. Prof. Nagesh Dhobale was the Yoga trainer, and every participant performed meditation and exercise under the guidance of the Yoga teacher. Mr. Devendraji Lohe, Sarpanch, Devgram, while giving guidance about Yoga and meditation in the main speech of this program, told each and every person that they must do Yoga every day to stay fit. Many teachers, students and non-teaching staff participated in this program.

Expert Meet on the Occasion of Students Induction Programme (9th August 2023)

"If you want to excel in today's global scenario, you should be able to communicate in the English language. English is a simple and interesting language compared to other languages," said Dr. Nitin Mathankar, Principal, Late Vasantrao Kolhatkar Arts College, Rohana. He was speaking as the Chief Guest in an Expert Meet on the occasion of the Students Induction Programme organised by the Department of English of the college on 9th August 2023. The topic was English Language and Futuristic Opportunities. Dr. Yogesh Sarode, organiser and Head, Department of English, made an introductory remark and explained the objectives of the event. Miss. Pangul, student of B.Sc., was the master of ceremony while Miss. Kambale proposed a formal vote of thanks. More than 300 students of UG and PG including staff members were prominently present on this occasion. The members of the literary study club took pains to make the programme a grand success.

Antyoday Mahavidyalaya Devgram, in association with the Department of Library and Competitive Examination Guidance Cell, jointly organized the Career Katta program on the occasion of the birth anniversary of Bharatratna Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam and to interact with students for the overall development of youth. The Chairperson of this program was Dr. Devendra Bhogade, Principal, AMD; in his speech he highlighted the importance of reading for students as well as career opportunities and what should be done while choosing one. The Key Speaker of this program was Dr. Yashwant Shitole, President, Maharashtra Information Technology Assistance Center. He guided the 300 students present in the hall about the importance of reading for the overall development of the youth. While giving information about the various activities under Career Katta, he urged the students to take advantage of this opportunity. This is a course of almost 1000 days and once registered, the guidance of experts continues to be provided free of charge till date; thousands of students in Maharashtra have benefited from this, he said in his guidance. Dr. Archana Patil wished the students all the best for the future.

Antyoday Mahavidyalaya Devgram organised a one-day field visit to the industrial sites and a general socio-economic survey of the beneficiaries of economic and social schemes of the Government of Maharashtra and the Central Government, conducted by the Board of Economics Studies under the Graduate and Post Graduate Department of Economics of the Faculty of Humanities, Rashtrasant Tukdoji Maharaj University, Nagpur. THE DEPARTMENT OF ENGLISH ORGANIZES AN EXPERT’S MEET: 29th April 2024

An Expert’s Meet on the topic “How to write Research Paper” was held on 29th April 2024 in hybrid mode. The Programme was organized by the Department of English, Antyoday Mahavidyalaya, Devgram in association with IQAC of the college. Dr. Anil Dodewar, Senate Member RTMNU & Associate Professor of English, Mahila Mahavidyalaya, Nagpur was the Resource Person on this occasion while Dr. Devendra Bhongade, Principal of the College chaired the session. In the beginning, Dr. Mangesh Acharya, IQAC Coordinator gave best wishes and expressed the intension behind the Meet. Dr. Yogesh Sarode, HoD, English conducted the programme and proposed a vote of thanks. A question-answer session was kept at the end of the session. More than 65 students of UG and PG participated in the programme. The technical side was handled by the Department of LISc.
